The new Viva Wallet payment pages fully comply with the PSD2 Directive. Strong customer authentication (SCA) applies to all electronic payments within the European Economic Area (EEA), with no further action or technical implementation on the part of the merchant.

To complete an online transaction, after entering your card details, you will need to fill in the code that you will receive via SMS (One Time Password – OTP) from Viva Wallet. You will then be asked to “recognize” a previous online transaction (with the same card) from a list of transactions.

In some electronic transactions, strong identification may not be applied from September 14, 2019, for reasons due to the gradual adaptation of all parties involved to strong identification requirements.
